Presented by the Global SinoPhoto Awards

This is an in-person only event in the British Library Pigott Theatre.

To mark Lunar New Year 2024, The British Library and the Global SinoPhoto Awards present a global perspective on Chinese culture as seen through photography.

Speakers include Dr. Malini Roy, Head of Visual Arts at The British Library, Yü-Ge Wang, Auctioneer and Associate Director at Christie’s, Andrew Sanigar, Commissioning Editor for Photography and Design at Thames & Hudson and Yintong Betser, Founder of Global SinoPhoto Awards. Hosted by Theresa Booth, co-founder of Engage with China.

The annual Global SinoPhoto Awards aims to communicate Chinese culture and values through remarkable imagery by inviting photographers of any background, location and nationality to tell their Chinese story.

The conversation is followed on the night by the 2024 Awards Ceremony where the winning images and photographers are announced.
Venue and Bar open at 18:30. The event begins at 19:00.
