Food Season 2024
The British Library Food Season returns for its sixth year, bringing together some of the most influential names in food, drink, hospitality, literature and science, for a series of events that highlight the stories, the politics and the people behind how and why we eat.
From a celebration of a London restaurant institution Le Gavroche with speakers including Michel Roux and Angela Hartnett to an exploration on the historical and cultural significance of rice and from leading experts in the food and science to a live recording of Jessie and Lennie Ware’s award-winning podcast Table Manners with special guest Jordan Stephens.
Plus at the end of May the Food Season’s BIG Weekend: a two day celebration of food in words, sounds, cultures, ideas and tastings.
Other speakers include Ravinder Bhogal, Madhur Jaffrey, Jeremy Lee, Julius Roberts, Itamar Srulovich, Dr Chris van Tulleken, Kimberley Wilson and many more
